Carmen Roche was educated at the French Lycée, Farnborough Hill and More House Schools before reading French and Italian at King's College London. She taught English for a year at Madrid University, returning to teach languages in London tutorial schools before starting The Roche School.
James Roche, Bsc, PhD was educated at St Paul's School and at Bristol and Manchester Universities, where he read physics. He taught in a state school and then in London tutorial schools. He was Principal of Collingham from 1976 to 1989 when he joined The Roche School.
Gabriella Emery graduated from Reading University in 1989 with a B.A. Hons Degree in German. As part of her studies she completed a year at Konstanz University in Germany where she began her teaching career. Returning to England she taught in a state-run nursery before taking a postgraduate Montessori Teaching Diploma. After teaching at a London Montessori school she joined The Roche School in 1991 as a class teacher. In 1994 she established The Roche Nursery School and its success has prompted the opening of The Roche Nursery School in Fulham and Keswick House in Putney.
Vania Adams studied journalism and then gained a BA degree in English and Drama from Roehampton University, a Post Graduate Certificate of Education and later an M.A. in English from King's College London.
She taught for several years at the Roche School, producing two "Edwardian" Comedies that she had written. She also worked in publishing. For 4 years before re-joining the Roche School, she taught English & Drama at Ibstock Place School. She has run a Saturday drama school to help autistic children, and enjoys a range of drama and English literature.
Anthony Mackay studied at Otago, New Zealand gaining a diploma in business studies and a Bachelor of Education degree with a Diploma of Teaching. Later he gained a Montessori Teaching diploma from the London Montessori Centre.
Since graduating he has been a class teacher at different times for Years 1-5, teaching for 2 years in New Zealand, then for 2 years in a private bilingual school in South Korea and from February 2006 in London.
Immediately before joining The Roche School he was Key Stage 1 coordinator at Bassett House Preparatory School, Kensington
